rockstar and a pyrotechnician

today i will accept rockstar status. let me back up to explain. my husband is a pyrotechnician...umm ok make sense now. so my husband shoots firework shows. he works for a firework company and aside from being a captain and environmental scientist, he is also licensed as a pyrotechnician. yep most random man you will know {especially when he sings his responses to me, that gets real random. i digress.} so when he is gone shooting firework shows, i am hanging out by myself and left to my own devices. this recent time i attempted to tackle something that has been beating me for a while...homemade bread. hence the rockstar status. while they didn't all turn out pretty, both the blueberry cinnamon rolls and mini monkey bread were phenomenal. therefore as aforementioned, today i accept rockstar status and am married to a pyrotechnician. rockstar + pyrotechnician=match made in heaven. k now back to earth.

light amidst the chaos

ok so it's not really chaos, more like uncontrollable anxiousness and uncertainty. the infamous test is coming up {keep praying} and in between the ongoing cups of coffee + the growth of my gluteus maximus due to lack of movement, we found time to do a small quaint date. this included the purchase of maps at border's going out of business sale, menchies fro yo {yea i said it}, and enjoying the scenery at our recently new city we live in {we just moved back}. it was a nice break and much needed. however, as i type this im thinking of profit margin, food temperatures, and vitamin a absorption. and im back...yep, makes you jealous doesn't it? ;)

another mia & birthday

yet again another mia post {previous} but it has to happen...i am doing this really dumb thing called studying! 

i take my final "boards" soon. i probably won't tell you when for the fact that i don't want to have to report that i didn't pass if i don't. so just start praying now, k? thanks! but i do have to give a major shout out to one special day...hub's bday! you know the hubs...he's that amazing guy i talk often about. well here are some cute pics of him to remind you

so happy birthday c...you make my life a lot brighter and a lot more spontaneous. and for that {any many more} i am gratefule!

slightly sad day

yesterday was a slightly sad day

1. i was forced to study all day inside without even the idea of leaving... "sit down caitlyn, don't even think about it!" and yes i did dress up just to sit at home. i mean i need some sort of creative outlet during my "stay at home" days! and nothing is cooler than wearing a big chunky necklace while talking to yourself out loud for memorizing.

2. hubby had to stay late at work because he forgot his id and had to turn around. someone please find our memory, we have each seemed to misplace it and can't remember where we left them!

3. and this is the saddest, my 6 dollar aeropostale white crop jeans zipper broke off the track. that's right, broke the track and came right off! now the real question is was it the dryer or my oh so handsome remington pup? not my angel huh?...hmmmm

but on the plus side...the belt and necklace of this outfit were purchased at garage sales! yep impressed aren't you? 

poor pants...sewing in my future. unless i can start a new trend? keeping flies open. oh that might present serious future problems. hmm rethink!
