an "official" weekend

this weekend was crazy busy and filled with fun, friends, and always food! it started with some of the most exciting news from within these past 6 years {well besides my engagement and wedding, but you get the picture}...i am officially a registered dietitian! yes you heard that right folks, i am official! after long hours and continuos classes {as well as that whole year of free labor} i have passed the test and can now officially tell you healthy ways to eat. whew! so after this exhausting test and exciting news, it was only proper that i sleep...for the rest of thursday. so that was kind of a blur. then on friday we celebrated the birth of a dear friend and enjoyed a little saints action! 

saturday, an event called "one for the orphan" where other people {pssh not me} ran a 5k and one man biked for 24 hours! thats correct....24 hours sans break for charity to support orphans in africa. 

i helped a friend in selling the stupendous products of a ministry called sak saum.

following, a continuation of my friend's birth celebration {we are serious about our birthdays around here} with a trip and all day event in lafayette. complete with shopping, food, and card game playing.

happy belated 4th

how do you spend your 4th? we spend it celebrating with friends, playing games, and buying sparklers. cause everyone needs a sparkler picture that spells out sweet little nothings

confession: these were bought and taken on the 5th...why buy fireworks on the 4th when you can get them 50% off on the 5th? logical? i think so. thanks bible study girlies for being fabulous models and spellers! oh and boys for getting the shot!

not in chronological order

im bad about posting things in chronological order...but i find pictures i've uploaded and i have a desire to share the adventures. plus this is kind of how my life runs {scattered} so it's me! remember that beach trip we took on our anniversary with friends r & b? well we also enjoyed a bike ride to the public pier to view the sunset. needless to say it wasn't much of a sunset as the clouds got in the way. i think we saw it for a total of 5 minutes...yea. but at least we got exercise.

so since graduation is tomorrow...hold up, tomorrow? ahhh! 

k anyways yes since graduation is tomorrow, us interns wanted to spend as much time together doing the things we were too busy to do during school. therefore came a bucket list day. first on the list...eat!

and our first stop was this gorgeous bakery

looking for a bakery? who isn't? ok specifically need a bakery in new orleans? look no further...

i wish i could say i was big timing enough that they paid me to advertise but unfortunately {for me, but fortunately for them} they didn't. their food was so to die for i took it upon myself to scream it from the rooftops. no seriously...

i suggest the chocolate almond croissant...delish!

two weeks ago

yo peeps, remember that little anniversary that happened recently...well is it bad that im just now writing about it?

i know i've been a little m.i.a. lately...life just gets crazy...you all understand though right?! well any-who i wanted to share with yall some exciting events over the weekend-the wedding of friends a&k! they are on their beach honeymoon right now and i couldn't be more jealous...and more happy for them. congrats you guys!

hard week at work

a day in nola

so we decided we girls needed a day...a day to do some exploring and photography of nola. a necessary day that we had yet to take amongst our internship. so we did it, we went and enjoyed the gorgeous weather and here are some pics documenting this time. enjoy!
